W. Kenneth McCarter Memorial Dinner

Join the Oxford & Cambridge Society of Toronto for the eighth annual
formal dinner at Massey College in the University of Toronto,
the W. Kenneth McCarter Memorial Dinner.

The evening is dedicated to the memory of Kenneth McCarter, who sadly passed away in 2016. Ken’s many contributions to our alumni network as well as the wider community are recalled and honoured through this event.

Nathalie Des Rosiers, Principal of Massey College will provide a post-dinner address. Professor Nathalie Des Rosiers will lead Massey College for a five-year term through August, 2024. Previously, she was a Member of Provincial Parliament in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, representing the riding of Ottawa-Vanier. She served as Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry.

“Brexit: Why and What’s Next?” from Mosaic in Dialogue

In partnership with the Mosaic Institute, we are extending our members a special invitation to this event on Thursday, October 24th for a discussion about Brexit. Akaash Maharaj, CEO of The Mosaic Institute in conversation with Professor Mel Cappe will discuss the rise of populism and the hostility towards immigration that has sparked Brexit; the nature of the Irish backstop, and the implications for peace in Northern Ireland.
