Freshers Online Welcome

The Oxford and Cambridge Society of Toronto welcomes new Freshers and our society members to an online networking event ahead of the start of the new school year. The event will be happening on September 10 from 6-7PM. This is an opportunity for Oxbridge Freshers based in Toronto and the surrounding area to meet each other and to meet and network with recent and not so recent alumni.

Update on COVID-19 and Our Upcoming Events

The continued spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Canada and around the world has understandably raised concerns for our members and their families. As part of our precautions to keep our members and the public safe, we are cancelling two of our upcoming gatherings:

  • Boat Race Viewing, originally scheduled for Sunday March 29
  • Pub Night, originally scheduled for Tuesday March 31

Please check www.theboatrace.org for any updates about the boat race event and to find out more about viewing it online.

We will continue to communicate about other upcoming events as further guidance is provided by public health authorities. We hope all our members and their families keep well!

Fireside Chat with Prof Arthur Gibson

Please join the University Club of Toronto and the Oxford Cambridge Society of Toronto on March 12 for a fireside chat with Professor Arthur Gibson: Did Stephen Hawking Murder Philosophy? Is there a Counter-Intuitive Metaphysics of the Universe?

For full details, please check out our event page.
