As summer wraps up, the University Club is moving into a busy season of events. I thought you might be interested in attending the Club’s annual Season Opening Gala evening on Saturday, September 17th. It’s always a glamorous evening with wonderful food and entertainment. This year, the evening features the Wintergarten Orchestra, an eleven-piece period orchestra featuring two singer/actors (Ted Atherton & Tanya Wills). Listening to them is like stepping through a time warp and turning on the wireless. The sound has the quality of a 78 rpm. The music is eminently danceable but the show is also musical theatre, so you can happily just sit and listen.
