Massey College Formal Hall including a talk by Stephen Toope, Director of the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs
November 9, 2015 @ 6:00 PM EST - 9:30 PM EST EST
Massey College at the University of Toronto has kindly agreed to host a fourth dinner for the Oxbridge Society, including a talk by Professor Stephen Toope.
Professor Toope recently succeeded Janis Stein as the Director of the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs. Prior to joining U of T, he was the President of the University of British Columbia, before which he was President of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, dean of McGill University’s Faculty of Law and Law Clerk to the Rt. Hon. Chief Justice Dickson of the Supreme Court of Canada. Professor Toope earned his PhD from Trinity College, Cambridge.
The event will be at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 9th. Last year’s event was sold out, and those interested will want to register as soon as possible.
Massey College was founded on the model of Oxbridge colleges. The evening includes dinner with wine in the Massey College Hall and port and coffee afterwards. This is a special and unique event. Because of the kindness of Hugh Segal, the Master of Massey College, in agreeing to this, it is important to have a large turnout for what will be a memorable evening of reliving Oxbridge memories and learning more about this Oxbridge outpost here in Toronto.
