Inaugural Canadian Friends of the LSE Speed Networking Event

The CFLSE Mentorship committee is delighted to host the inaugural CFLSE Speed Networking event.

The purpose of this event is to bring together LSE alumni from different career stages to learn from one another and enhance opportunities for professional development.

Agenda:
6:30pm – Registration and LSEicebreaker
7:00pm – Roundtable discussions
8:30pm til close – Networking

The evening will provide alumni with the opportunity to network and also take part in roundtable discussions with alumni leaders focused on career topics including: starting out, developing in your career, overcoming obstacles, and balance.

We are pleased that the following alumni leaders will join us in the roundtable discussions:

  • Burke Christian, Manager of Communications and Vendor Outreach, Deputy Minister’s Office at Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services
  • Neil Desai, Director of Corporate Affiars at Magnetic Forensics
  • Brian Macdonald, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Fredericton West-Hanwell (New Brunswick)
  • Valerie Midmer, Manager – Leadership Associate at TD
  • Michael Sutherland, Director Economic Analysis and Investment Strategy, Metrolinx
  • Michelle Ransom, Consultant, Shift Change LLC
  • Ken Rea, Professor Emeritus at the University of Toronto
  • Rajeev Sharma, Managing Partner, Sharma Lawyers

To cover the costs of the event, there is a $10 fee to participate. The event is cash bar with canapés on offer.

It will be a great evening filled with lots of opportunities to connect with LSE alumni from different areas and industries.
