Join The National Ballet of Canada’s young professional group, Turnout, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience to watch dancers of the National Ballet in a working rehearsal for The Nutcracker. See firsthand the work behind the beauty on stage and how the dancers learn the challenging choreography of this holiday favourite. A reception will follow the rehearsal where you have the opportunity to meet and mingle with young professionals and the dancers and artists of the National Ballet. Special guests of the Oxford and Cambridge Society of Toronto, Imaginis Business Development and Verity are invited to attend.

Special fundraiser for Karina Gould

We are delighted to announce that another of our members, Karina Gould, is seeking political office at the federal level. As mentioned previously, we do not endorse a particular party, but are pleased to be able to support our community members. A fundraiser for Karina’s campaign featuring celebrity chef Angie MacRae will be held in Burlington on the evening of Wednesday, November 19th.

Please join Craig Scott, MP, in a Fireside Chat on Democracy in Canada, Thursday, November 13, 6pm. Oxford and Cambridge Alumni, Friends and Family welcome.

How do we engage more Canadians in the electoral process? What is the state of democratic reform in Canada? Why is the NDP so keen on mixed member proportional (MMP) system and what does it mean? Attendees will be able to ask Craig their own questions either during the fireside chat or afterwards over dinner. Drinks and Hors D’Oeuvres Reception at 6pm, with Craig’s address at about 6.45 pm
